Christina A. McKinnon

Christina McKinnon is the founding attorney of McKINNON LEGAL and a highly regarded South Florida attorney whose practice focuses on family law and personal injury matters. Since establishing her firm in 2004, she has earned a reputation for strong advocacy, client-focused representation, and leadership within both the legal profession and the South Florida community.

Christina represents clients in a wide range of family law matters, bringing a strategic and compassionate approach to individuals navigating significant personal and legal challenges. Before entering private practice, she began her legal career in labor and employee relations within the healthcare industry, later transitioning her focus to helping clients through complex family and personal injury disputes. Her work ethic, litigation experience, and dedication to client service have earned her broad recognition throughout the legal and business communities.

Her professional accomplishments include an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a “Superb” rating from Avvo, and recognition from organizations including Super Lawyers, South Florida Legal Guide, and The National Black Lawyers Top 100. In addition to her practice, Christina has held numerous leadership roles within the legal profession. She previously served as Chair and Commissioner of the 17th Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and has been active with organizations including the American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association, and the National Association of Divorce Professionals. She has also served on the Nova Southeastern University Ambassadors Board and has remained deeply involved in mentorship, diversity initiatives, and legal education.

Christina is equally committed to community service and pro bono advocacy. Her volunteer work throughout South Florida has earned multiple awards, including recognition from Chapman Partnership, Dade Legal Aid’s “Put Something Back” program, and the Junior League of Miami.
