Jennifer Sevigney Durand is an experienced family law attorney whose practice is centered on helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most difficult transitions. From the beginning of her legal career, Jennifer has focused on family-centered advocacy, working closely with clients to achieve practical and effective solutions tailored to their unique circumstances.

Jennifer represents clients across a broad range of family law matters and brings experience in litigation, mediation, and conciliation. While fully prepared to advocate for clients in court when necessary, she strives whenever possible to resolve disputes outside the courtroom in a way that minimizes conflict and promotes long-term stability for families. Through each stage of the process, Jennifer works closely with clients to ensure they understand their options and feel empowered to make informed decisions about their future.

Jennifer is also deeply involved in the legal community. A longtime member of the Boston Bar Association Family Law Section, she served as section co-chair from 2012 to 2014 and later served on the BBA Council and Executive Committee. Jennifer also regularly receives court appointments to conciliate family law matters through several Massachusetts bar associations and is actively involved with the Greater Boston Family Law American Inn of Court and the Massachusetts chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, where she previously served as board president.

In addition to practice and professional service, Jennifer is an author and lecturer on family law topics. She authored the “Issues Relating to Children” chapter and previously co-authored the “Marital Agreements” chapter in MCLE’s Massachusetts Divorce Law Practice Manual and has lectured on trust-related issues in divorce proceedings, child support & alimony and guardian ad litem investigations.

Jennifer has been recognized in Massachusetts Super Lawyers since 2015 and holds a top rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Jennifer earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from Providence College and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
