Professional Biography

Brian J. Cali, Esq. is the founder of Cali Law and a highly experienced family law attorney who has practiced since 1978. Recognized throughout Northeast Pennsylvania for his extensive litigation experience, professional leadership, and longstanding commitment to client advocacy, he advises individuals and families across a broad range of complex domestic matters.

Brian’s family law practice focuses on divorce, separation, domestic relations matters, child custody disputes, and the representation of children involved in custody litigation. He has also handled family law appeals before appellate courts, further establishing his reputation within the field. A Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Brian has consistently been recognized on the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list since 2009 and is widely regarded as a leading family law practitioner in the region.

In addition to his legal practice, Brian has held significant positions of public and professional responsibility. He served for six years as a member of the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board, including one year as Chairman, following appointment by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He is also presently a member of the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board, having recently been appointed by Governor Shapiro.

Brian also maintains experience in elder and estate law, real estate law, business law, civil litigation, and criminal law. He assists clients with real estate transactions, including refinances, property purchases, and sales, and provides guidance on business-related matters informed by his own experience as a business owner and Chairman of the Board of Fidelity Bank.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Duquesne University in 1974 and his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law in 1977.

He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Lackawanna Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
