Professional Biography

Brandon K. Leavitt is the founding attorney of Leavitt Family Law Group and has practiced exclusively family law in the Las Vegas valley since 2010. A sixth-generation Southern Nevadan, Brandon is known for taking a holistic and practical approach to family law matters, recognizing that the outcome of a case can affect a client and their family for years to come.

Brandon’s practice focuses exclusively on family law and includes complex and high-asset divorce litigation, child custody, child support, alimony, adoption, guardianship, asset division, and prenuptial agreements. He combines strong advocacy with a compassionate and client-focused approach, working to achieve effective outcomes both inside and outside the courtroom.

Brandon began his legal career in Nevada as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Charles J. Hoskin of the Eighth Judicial District Court – Family Division in Clark County. This experience provided him with valuable insight into the judicial decision-making process in family law matters and continues to inform his strategic approach to representing clients. After leaving the Family Court, he gained additional experience practicing with several well-regarded family law firms in the Las Vegas Valley.

In 2018, Brandon founded Leavitt Family Law Group in Henderson, Nevada, with a focus on helping families navigate some of the most important and personal legal issues in their lives through compassionate and effective representation.

Brandon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with an emphasis in argumentation and negotiation, from the University of Utah, graduating with distinction. He later received his Juris Doctor from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law while working full-time as a law clerk for a Fortune 100 company throughout law school.
